The search results will narrow down the table entries applicable to the search keyword entered. Search the remote sensors tables by clicking in the search boxes below and entering in a keyword term, such as a DAAC (ASDC, NSIDC, SEDAC, etc), a platform (ABoVE, CALIPSO, LIS ISS, etc), an instrument (GRACE, MODIS, TROPOMI, etc) or science term (surface mass, snow cover, tomography, etc). They are listed by current, future, and historic missions. Some of these sensors may overlap categories. The following tables list and describe many of the active and passive sensors whose data are supported by EOSDIS. Credit: NASA Applied Sciences Remote Sensing Training Program. Illustration showing the difference between passive versus active sensors. Reflected sunlight is the most common source of radiation measured by passive sensors. Passive sensors, on the other hand, detect natural energy (radiation) that is emitted or reflected by the object or scene being observed. The sensor then detects and measures the radiation that is reflected or backscattered from the target. An active sensor emits radiation in the direction of the target to be investigated. Active sensors, provide their own source of energy to illuminate the objects they observe.Try to read your unique relationship with the other person and accordingly decide on the type of hug to avoid confusion.Remote sensing instruments are of two primary types: Analyzing body language will tell you a lot about the nature of your relationship.

They can bring comfort and can be de-stressing while also conveying your strong bond and emotional connection.

Try to reserve your tight hugs for your close friends and romantic partner. If the person is an acquaintance or colleague, they may prefer something formal like a handshake. They may open up only to their family members or romantic interest. However, some people prefer to have their personal space and shy away from physical touch. Hugs have become a conventional norm in recent times. You should not encroach into the other person’s personal space. A one-sided hug may make you feel unwanted, but try to read your relationship dynamic beforehand. You may feel cold as the other person shrugs you off quickly. The other person just isn’t involved in it. The one-sided hug is probably the most awkward of all hugs.
